Hello everyone! With spring break last week and me just neglecting any and everything that has to do with putting in any type of effort, I feel like I haven’t posted in forever.
I also noticed that I haven’t posted any measurable methods that you ladies can use in order to save some money. I was scrolling through my camera roll of 844 POINTLESS pictures when I came across a screen shot I took a while back of something I saw on Facebook called the ’52 Week Money Challenge.’
The 52 Week Money Challenge requires that, for 52 weeks, you deposit a certain amount of money into your savings account. The deposit amount varies weekly and starts off at only $1. The deposits then double every week onward (ex. Week 2 = $2, Week 52= $52 etc.)
This challenge is a super easy way to save money and even though 52 weeks sounds 30 years think of it on the bright side, at the end of it all you will have $1,378.00 to either save for a rainy day (which is what you should do), or purchase that Mac Air you’ve been dying for.
Regardless of how you spend the money that you’ve saved from this challenge, the fact that you could actually be consistent with such a long term savings plan is quite impressive and will most likely condition you to save well after your 52 week mark has been reached!
Think you got what it takes?
